Letter From The President
If one day went by without learning something new, I'd be surprised. Continuing education is an integral part of every field and industry, and following the market, interpreting trends and recognizing the signs that allow us to anticipate profitable movements is a challenging and rewarding occupation.
The novice numismatist as well as the expert have that much in common, and what better way to get a firm grasp of this science than by reading and asking questions of those who have the knowledge to impart to you.
As we move head into a bull market, more than ever the best advice is that if you have $100,000 to spend, resist the temptation of buying a hundred coins, instead concentrate on just 2 or 3 valuable coins that will out-perform the common material in a bull market and retain more of their value in a bear market.
History has shown that rare coins will reach their last height of 1989 and surpass those levels. This is very exciting time to be involved in numismatics, as we are in the infancy stages of a new bull market. Where you are when it happens depends on how well you do at interpreting the signs. Some like to call it luck, I'd rather call it expertise.
